Our Story

Bonita Leather & Accessories was given life as a privately owned small business located in a small seaside town on the NW Coast of Tasmania, Australia. Established in the late 1950s under the name Bonita Millinery Salon it was a one-stop-shop for men's & women's hats; the only one of its kind across the Coast. 

 

As time passes, it's sure to bring change & because we understand that, we have learned to adapt so that we can give our customers what they want. And while we may have changed ownership over the years along with our name & location, our commitment to our core values has been unwavering. We will continue to offer quality & variety, coupled with excellence in customer service. We still sell hats. But now, we offer so much more from gift ideas to travel goods.

 

My name is Debbie King & as the third-generation owner & operator, I love what I do. I have dedicated myself to Bonita Leather & Accessories since 1990, nurturing it & watching it grow into one of the Coast's oldest established retail companies. My staff is as passionate as I am & equally as committed to continuously strive to provide our customers with a varied range of products that is second to none while ensuring that the quality remains of the highest standard as it always has.

Our objective is simple; to make you, our valued customer, happy. We will achieve this by making it our goal to understand your needs while providing you with exceptional personal service & expert advice on how to care for your product no matter what your budget may be.
